In a little more than a month, the streets in and around the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, area will start to fill with Mustangs of every generation for Mustang Week. The 13th annual event takes place at a variety of locations and offers a full week of fun for everyone.
It all gets started on Tuesday, July 15 with the traditional meet and greet, held this year from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Palace Theater. Myrtle Beach Speedway will once again open the gates for the BFGoodrich Track Day, where you can participate for $25 or watch for just $5. Gates open at 11 a.m. Day-long activity includes the Gateway Classic Mustang Autocross and Stifflers Speedway Fun Runs. The SVT Performance Burnout Contest will take place at 8 p.m. as well as the Wheels of Destruction Thrill Show.
Thursday action moves to Darlington for Mickey Thompson Darlington Drag Night at 4 p.m., but not before the faithful gather at Hooters for a cruise to the strip. The event starts at 12:30 and the cars roll to the track at 2:30.
The 10th annual Car Show at the Myrtle Beach Mall sold out in May, but spectators are welcome to view the cars and the 3 p.m. awards ceremony on Friday. The East Coast’s Largest Mustang and SVT Cruise-In headlines the final day of activity from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Mall. There is no cost to spectate or participate and awards will be given at 3 p.m.
