Royal Purple has announced the winners of its “Show It Off At SEMA” contest. The contest offered entrants a chance to win one of two opportunities to show their vehicles at the 2012 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Oct. 30- Nov. 2) as a featured vehicle and guest of Royal Purple.
Todd Foust of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, won with his 1965 Ford Mustang convertible custom “Black Diamond” and will be joined by Dennis Rostenbach of Gaffney, South Carolina, with his 1970 Plymouth Road Runner at this year’s show. Royal Purple will pay for registration for both, provide Royal Purple apparel for each of the four days and host a winner’s dinner.
Now in its second year, the Royal Purple “Show It Off At SEMA” Contest was hosted on the Royal Purple Inc. Facebook Fan Page. Entry to the contest was open for a two-week period in July from which 10 finalists were determined via online popular vote. The 10 finalists were then judged by a five-person panel that included last year’s two winners, Joe Cherry (El Nomado) and Shawn Kaufman (Galvatron), as well as three managers from Royal Purple.
The two cars were selected from a field of almost 60 qualified applicants and were reviewed based upon several criteria that included the specs of the car, each vehicle’s use of Royal Purple products, the unique qualities of the vehicle and overall visual appeal of the vehicle inside and out as well as the best representation of Royal Purple’s outperform ideology.
