Leake Auction Company has three cars consigned to their Dallas auction will be sold at No Reserve for charity. A 1968 Corvette, a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner and a 1958 Chevrolet Impala will be sold, with the proceeds benefitting Cook Children’s of Fort Worth. The cars will be sold at 2pm on Saturday, November 19.
Cook Children’s operates more than 60 pediatric medical and specialty clinic offices throughout north Texas. They are a not-for-profit, nationally recognized pediatric health care organization that is comprised of seven entities – a Medical Center, Physician Network, Home Health company, Northeast Hospital, Pediatric Surgery Center, Health Plan and Health Foundation. Knowing that every child's life is sacred, it is the promise of Cook Children's to improve the health of every child in their region through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury.
The 1968 Corvette convertible is red and equipped with a 327 CI / 350 HP engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. With less than 200 miles since restoration, the 1969 Road Runner convertible is a rare find. It was rebuilt with an original numbers matching engine, original working H51 factory A/C, automatic transmission, power steering, working thumb wheel radio, new Magnum 500’s and Firestone redline tires, original fender tag and owner's manual. The 1958 Impala features a 350 CI / Turbo 350 HP GM Crate V-8 engine. The 2002 Eliminator Cat Boat boosts a V-8 502 engine. Its exterior was custom painted.
The vehicles were generously donated by Marty and Janet Robertson. “We decided to sell these items for charity because we are blessed people, and we always want to take time to give back to the community,” Marty Robertson said. “Watching anyone, especially a child, battle cancer is absolutely heartbreaking. Janet and I have both lost family members to cancer. We are excited for the progress that research has brought for patients through organizations such as Cook Children’s. They provide incredible care for our children and other children in the community. We cannot think of a more worthy cause to be a part of than the health and welfare of children.”
The annual Leake Collector Car Show & Auction will be held November 18-20 in Dallas Market Hall. For a complete list of vehicles consigned to this auction, visit
