They are in the holiday spirit at the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Santa's Elves (aka our great volunteers) have been busy transforming the galleries into a spectacular holiday wonderland featuring Christmas trees adorned with themed decorations setting off a wide variety of special exhibits, which can be seen until January 5, 2014.
Trains, Trains & More Trains - All Aboard!  Visitors can enjoy a variety of train displays located throughout the building.   Our Roads to Rails display has multiple trains running in the town of Tuckerville along with many interactive elements and Thomas the Tank Engine, a family favorite!   Other trains include a Hershey Trolley, Western theme train and Polar Express.
Celebrity Cars - here's your chance to see a variety of great vehicles with a celebrity connection!  Ernie's GMC Taxi from "It's a Wonderful Life", Betty Davis' 1942 Buick Roadmaster Woody wagon, Betty White's Cadillac Seville, Whitney Houston's Rolls-Royce Limousine, along with two 20s era cars used the HBO series "Boardwalk Empire".
Car-Toon Truck & Art Display area - see the 1928 Ford Roadster Pick up decorated with 30,000 cartoon characters, every comic book character from 1896 through the present day! This special gallery will also include a variety of other art pieces that tell the story of "Saving our History with Art".  The artist, Robert Luczun has a resolve to recycle and save antique auto parts and other items of interest and paint them with a variety of historical themes for you to enjoy the journey.   Many pieces will be on display with a variety of themes including: Money Car, Carousel, Concept Cars, Games, NASCAR, Star Wars and Super Heroes.
Sammy the Snow Plow will be back for the holidays this year!   Sammy is our 1967 four wheel-drive Walter snowplow weighing in at more than 21 tons and 29 ½ ft. in length.   Sammy loves the cold weather so you'll find him outside on the Museum grounds.
Local School Holiday Tree Decorating Contest- Several local schools will each be decorating a tree with ornaments created in their school art program.   Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite tree.   The three school trees that receive the most votes will be rewarded with a gift card for their school.  Confirmed Schools include: Covenant Christian Academy, East Hanover Elementary, Harrisburg Christian School, Harrisburg High School, Lower Dauphin - Nye Elementary, Nativity School of Harrisburg, Saint Catherine Laboure, and Steelton-Highspire School.  (A big thank you to our sponsor PNC Bank for helping us make this contest possible. )
The Museum is teaming up with Carry the Light Ministries of Mechanicsburg for the annual Food and Toy "Drive". Help us help local families by "filling up the truck" located in our Lobby with donations of any non-perishable food items, toiletries and toys through December 23.
