 Leather door panels

Corvette America now offers an option never available for the factory: leather door panels for 1963-1964 Corvettes. While they look like the original vinyl ones, these upgraded units are made with the same premium automotive leather the company uses for its seat covers, providing a perfect color match to other Corvette America interior components. Door panels are available in all stock interior colors, and come complete with pre-installed metal upper supports, reflectors, lock knobs, door opening bezels, trim strips and felt.

Steering racks

Improve the quality and handling of your C4, C5 or C6 Corvette with a remanufactured steering rack, now being offered by Mid America Motorworks. Each unit is tested to meet or exceed factory standards. Specify the year of Corvette when ordering; for 1984-1989 C4 models, also specify suspension type. 1984-1989 Z51 equipped “Sport” steering racks yield 2¼ complete turns of the steering wheel while “Standard” racks allow 2¾ complete turns. In addition to the rack, Mid America also offers power steering pumps and tie rod boots. The core charge, which varies by unit, is refundable upon receipt of a rebuildable core. A C5 version is shown.

Heat blocker

Reduce interior temperatures by installing HP Stealth Shield, available from Heatshield Products. Utilizing the same technology used in manufacturing the company’s welding blankets, the material is only 1/8-inch thick, and can be used on top of the floor or a sound deadener, underneath of the carpet. It can withstand continuous temperatures up to 1,800-degrees Fahrenheit. It can also be applied to a vertical surface or the headliner by using 3M Super Trim or Super 77 Adhesive. It comes in three sizes (24 by 53 inches, 48 by 53 inches, and 53 inches by 10 feet).
