Upcoming Motostalgia Auction
Kevin Harper - October 24, 2013 10:00 AM
If you’re looking for a different auction experience, you’ll want to be in Austin, Texas, in November.
While many companies tout the quantity of cars, only a couple dozen generally create the buzz and mega-sales. They sometimes get lost among the lot numbers, but Motostalgia will avoid this issue.
Motostalgia d’Elegance 2013 will feature one-of-a-kind automobiles from opulent pasts and historical moments. The event will be held during the Grand Prix in Austin and offer 75 of the finest and most sought-after vehicles from around the globe. It will be at the Austin Convention Center on Saturday, November 16, one day before the Grand Prix race, part of the FIA Formula One World Championship. Motostalgia will host special previews, an exclusive gala and media presentations prior to the auction. A sneak peek at some of the collection being offered can be viewed at www.motostalgia.com
“There is nothing more aerodynamic than the feeling one has sitting behind the wheel of a luxury automobile that is beyond rich,” said Antonio Brunet, founder of Motostalgia. “We have traveled the globe finding only the best of the best for this auction and are excited to be able offer a collection of automobiles that are so exclusive, so luxurious, and so valuable that serious collectors and Grand Prix race enthusiasts will be awestruck.”
The collection will include domestic and import vehicles with the highest pedigree and credentials. Highlights include a 1991 Callaway Speedster #008 Aerobody, one of only 10 produced, and a 1933 Duensenberg Model J “Queen of Diamonds” Sports Beline sedan. A great variety of fine autos will be seen. Auction offerings will be available for on-site preview Thursday through Saturday prior to the auction start at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Registered bidders will have the opportunity to garner exclusive access to the Grand Prix 2013 race with up-close views of all the action. Access to exclusive on-site venues and celebrity appearances including VIPs from the world of fashion, film, television and racing are also part of the event. Motostalgia has combined European flair, renowned expertise and the ability to create the ultimate bliss to bring this monumental auction event to Austin during Grand Prix 2013 weekend.
“Many automobile collectors on this level have a lifestyle that is accustomed to only the best,” said Brunet. “For those collectors who are expecting to see automobiles of rarity and for those who aspire to be part of this lifestyle, the Motostalgia d’Elegance is an auction event that cannot be missed. Producing it during the Grand Prix Weekend in Austin, Texas, this year is absolutely perfect.”
The auction will be streamed live online and bidders can bid on-site, by phone or online. Full color auction catalogs will be available for purchase online at www.motostalgia.com
