Artist Michael Irvine has captured the beauty of the Shelby Mustang in his latest painting called “Pure As The Driven Snow”.
All of the '65 Shelby Mustangs ever created were painted a Wimbledon White with twin Guardsman Blue racing stripes and matching lower side stripes. This paint scheme, reminiscent of the world-class Ford race cars of the day, let the public know that this was no ordinary Mustang. Irvine’s work takes us to a peaceful setting on a crisp, clear, winter's day. We see Shelby's creations basking in the glow of the sun while long cast shadows help camouflage them from passers by. This painting includes all Shelbys from 1965 through 1969, with the 2011 tearing down the country road.
