The Diecast Toy Exchange is hosting a Matchbox Collector's show at the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum on Sunday, September 23. The event will allow visitors to add to or begin a Matchbox collection as all cars will be for sale.  Vendors will be showcasing toy cars from the entire history of Matchbox -- from the first car in the 1950s all the way through present day vehicles.  To support this event, the AACA Museum is offering $5.00 admission (half the normal admission price) to encourage visitors to attend this one-day show.
This Matchbox toy show is a top-notch collector's event. Many of the best Matchbox dealers from the East Coast will be on hand with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cars. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the amazing detail put into these miniature cars which are approximately 1:64 scale models of full-size cars.
First time visitors and returning guests will be able to enjoy more than 100 full size antique cars, buses and motorcycles while at the AACA Museum. Current featured exhibits are 100 Years of Chevrolet and Dusty Jewels: Off Road Motorcycles of the 70's featuring a variety of more than 20 motorcycles.
The Antique Auto Museum at Hershey, a member of the Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1900's - 1970's in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco.   This Museum, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is one of the nation's newest and largest automotive museums.  It is located just off Route 39, one mile west of Hersheypark Drive in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The Museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.   For further information, please call (717) 566-7100 or visit www.AACAMuseum.org.
