75 Markets Get One-Hour Special

     The 20th annual Woodward Dream Cruise presented by Chevrolet, taking place Saturday, August 16, will be televised in 75 markets across the country. WXYZ, the media partner for the Woodward Dream Cruise, will syndicate a one-hour program to TV stations owned and operated by ABC and Scripps Broadcasting. This is the first year the Woodward Dream Cruise will be shown nationwide and the broadcast will reach approximately 70 percent of the country.
     “The passion for cars extends around the globe and we’re excited to be able to bring the energy of this unique event to audiences across the country,” said Ed Fernandez, E.W. Scripps divisional vice-president and VP/GM of WXYZ.
     “Thanks to the Woodward Dream Cruise committee, the nice city cruise communities on Woodward Avenue and our partners at Chevrolet, we can now share Detroit’s great classic car love affair with a whole new group of automotive enthusiasts,” said Mike Murri, WXYZ station manager.
