Colin Comer of Colin's Classic Automobiles in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will serve as the class chairman for the Muscle Car and GTO classes at the Milwaukee Masterpiece of Style & Speed. Comer organized a muscle car class in the early years of the event, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2014.
Comer is recruiting a slate of qualified judges including former Shelby Club judge Erik Gustafson, master restorer/painter’detailer Mark Clos, Scott Tiemann of Michigan’s Supercar Specialties. Ron Pace, a car collector, racing car driver and director of The Masterpiece Ltd., will co-chair the GTO Class.
Comer authored the books Million-Dollar Muscle Cars, The Complete Book of Shelby, The All-American Muscle Car, and Shelby Cobra Fifty Years. He maintains his own car collection.
In its 10th year, the Milwaukee Masterpiece presents two separate collections of collector vehicles over two days, Aug. 23-24, at Veterans Park on Milwaukee's lakefront. Saturday is Club Day and Sunday is the concours. The 50th anniversary Pontiac GTO will be featured on Sunday, along with the Excalibur and Ford Mustang, two other nameplates observing 50th anniversaries. Sponsors include Kohler Company, Concours Motors and BMO Private Bank.
