Contestants are flying in from across the country to start the Mopar MoVenture, which could bring $5,000 in Mopar parts and accessories into their home garage. MoVenture required hopefuls to submit a video that touted their Mopar loyalty. Those videos were then subjected to public voting and only the top 10 were able to make the cut.

For those ten winning teams, two members to a team, the next step is their arrival in the Detroit area. Thes teams will assume control of a wide range of 2011 and 2012 Chrysler Group LLC vehicles for a road trip ahead.

The activity fittingly starts at the Chrysler Museum on Friday, July 15 with teams heading off to the finish at NHRA Mopar Mile High Nationals, an NHRA event the following weekend. The contest ends on Thursday July 21, just before the start of the drag race. Along the way, they’ll visit iconic scenes of Americana, face fast, muddy and surprising challenges and battle for the chance to be the MoVenture champion.

Once we got our hands on the winners’ list, we reached out to get our own correspondent to file daily reports along the way. Team Orange, Jefferson & Chris from Stillwater, Oklahoma will be checking in along the way. We will provide those updates at as well as our facebook site (Auto Enthusiast).

This should be a good time. Teams are coming in from Oklahoma, Kentucky, Vermont, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Hawaii and Arizona (which has two teams from Phoenix). We can’t wait to see who comes away on top!
