In case you need any more prodding to get out and drive your Corvette, Mid America Motorworks is sponsoring the 14th Annual Drive Your Corvette To Work Day, scheduled for June 27.

Each year, the Friday closes to June 30 – the day the first Corvette rolled off the assembly line in 1953 in Flint, Mich. – is chosen to observe Drive Your Corvette To Work Day, and Corvette enthusiasts are encouraged to make “America’s sports car” their ride of choice that day.

Launched in 2001, Mid America Motorworks’ Drive Your Corvette To Work Day is an annual event celebrated by thousands of Corvette owners worldwide.

“We understand why many owners consider their Corvette to be a special car and only drive it occasionally,” said Mike Yager, founder and Chief Cheerleader of Mid America Motorworks, the world’s leading supplier of aftermarket Corvette parts and accessories. “But we think driving your Corvette to work, at least one day a year, is an excellent way to demonstrate just how popular Corvettes are. And it is a chance to Save the Wave and keep the Corvette spirit alive!”

Corvette owners who observe “Drive Your Corvette To Work Day” are encouraged to share high resolution digital pictures of their car at work to www.facebook.com/corvettepassion or e-mail them to clubs@mamotorworks.com.
