The gritty new action-drama "Gang Related" will have its series premiere on Thursday, May 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The series is from the writer of many of the “Fast & Furious” films and the executive producer of “The Shield,” and the pilot was directed by Allen Hughes. Cra lovers will not be disappointed in the choice of vehicles seen as the plot develops.
"Gang Related" follows character Ryan Lopez (played by Ramon Rodriguez, “Battle Los Angeles,” “The Wire”), who is a rising star in Los Angeles’ elite Gang Task Force. The team is led  by Sam Chapel (Emmy Award winner Terry O’Quinn, “Lost”) who joins up with longtime Task Force member Cassius Green (RZA, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” “Californication”) to take on the city’s most dangerous gangs, including one that he had sworn an allegiance to as a boy.
Ryan is still beholden to the gang’s leader, Javier Acosta (Cliff Curtis, “Live Free or Die Hard”) as Acosta was a father figure for Lopez. Ryan is torn between his allegiances to Los Angelicos and his newfound desire to be an enforced of the law. In the course of the program, several American-made muscle cars, including late model Mopar offerings, will be featured.
