The Mecum Auctions date at CenturyLink Field Event in Seattle, Washington, is rapidly approaching. The two-day auction will happen Friday and Saturday, June 13-14.
One of the featured cars on the block for Friday will be a 1963 Corvette (Lot F196). The highly desired Corvette is finished in Daytona Blue with Saddle Tan interior and the product of a no expense spared restoration with over $160,000 invested during the five-year body-off restoration. The car has been driven only 130 miles since completed with almost everything has either been restored or improved.
This Corvette is powered by a matching numbers 327/360 horsepower, fuel injected V-8 engine that is hooked to an M20 four-speed transmission. Modifications for safety include 1967 four-wheel disc brakes and a 1967 dual master cylinder. A custom-made 38-gallon racing fuel cell has replaced the big tank. Other aspects of the car include radio delete, electronic ignition single wire, backup lamps, a 3.08 rear end, teakwood steering wheel and whitewall tires. Paperwork includes an original advertisement for the 1963 Corvette, Corvette owner's guide and receipts and photos from the restoration.
