Bachman & Turner to Perform

Mid America Motorworks is thrilled to announce that rock legends Bachman & Turner, formerly from the hit band Bachman-Turner Overdrive, will perform Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the World’s Largest Corvette Party in Effingham, Illinois. Mike Yager, owner and Chief Cheerleader of Mid America Motorworks, hand picks the Saturday entertainment each year. The band will perform a night of chart-topping classic rock hits including “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,” “Taking Care of Business,” and “Hey You,” sure to please all generations of Corvette enthusiasts.
After many years of fan demand, Randy Bachman and Fred Turner reunited for the first time in more than 20 years in 2010. The musicians at the heart of the legendary band Bachman-Turner Overdrive have started to record and tour again as a new, full-throttle rock machine: Bachman & Turner. “In the mid-70s, Bachman-Turner Overdrive had colossal success and had hits all over the Billboard charts,” said Mike Yager, “I am thrilled that Randy and Fred have reunited and can’t wait to have them perform at Corvette Funfest, celebrating the 20th Anniversary with us.”
The 20th Annual Corvette Funfest is scheduled for September 19-22, 2013 at Mid America Motorworks’ corporate campus in Effingham, Illinois. The headlining Saturday evening concert is a highlight of the four-day event that is commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Corvette Funfest, kicking off the 40th Anniversary of Mid America Motorworks and 60th Anniversary of the Corvette with a Milestone Celebration. Past Funfest performers include Don Felder from the Eagles, REO Speedwagon, The Beach Boys and The Guess Who. Enthusiasts from all over the world attend Funfest for the outstanding entertainment as much as for their passion of the Corvette hobby.
