In a recent MSN Autos article, "Best Auto Events of 2014", written by noted automotive historian Ken Gross, "The Elegance at Hershey" was included within the prestigious list. Among other world-class events including the Pebble Beach and Amelia Island Concours, Mr. Gross gave his reasons for including The Elegance: "From the Vintage Sports Car Club of America-sanctioned Grand Ascent hill climb to the stunning lawn display on the grounds of the remarkably renewed historic Hotel Hershey, this first-class event attracts top collectors and the finest vintage cars in the East. A 5-kilometer run also appeals to show-goers as does the irresistible lure of Hershey's Chocolate World."
"Everyone involved in this event believes we really have created something special, and it's nice to know that others feel the same way.  We appreciate the recognition from the media, and attribute it to the Elegance's growing success. This year, there will be more cars gracing the lawn of The Hotel Hershey®, creating another fantastic automotive gallery," commented Lisa Leathery, Executive Director for The Elegance at Hershey.
To further attest to The Elegance at Hershey's popularity, the insider publication "Hagerty Classic Cars" cited The Elegance's 2013 decision to award an unrestored 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C2900B 'Best of Show' as one of the "Five Things That Rocked Our World."
The Elegance at Hershey weekend of events will take place June 13-15, 2014.  The inaugural event was held in 2011 and garnered huge accolades and attention due to the quality of automobiles, the inviting garden-party atmosphere, and vintage racecars participating in the Grand Ascent hillclimb race. To date, The Elegance at Hershey has donated more than $500,000 to its three charities: the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum, and the AACA Library & Research Center.
