AACA Museum Celebrates

Special Day on June 22

The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2013! Though the museum will be celbrating all year long, there is a special day packed full of fun activities to celebrate this milestone on Saturday, June 22nd!
The AACA Museum 10th Anniversary celebration will include the Museum's annual car show, special entertainment, an evening cruise-in, lots of fun activities and a VIP Barbecue!  Events will run all day long from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
 The Car Show will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pre-registration is $10 or day of registration $15 per vehicle. From 9 a.m. - 4:30, there’s Valve Cover Racing ($10 fee-unlimited practice runs + competition). The Car Finger Printing (free) will be going on from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and a DJ will be onsite from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The popular Model Car Building Competition (free to compete, models available for sale or bring your own) will start at 10 a.m. Other activities beginning at 10 a.m. include Race Car Wheel Changing Competition (Free, 10-2) and "Bob the Bikeman" showcasing and riding a unique collection of human powered vehicles (Free, 10-6)
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can get Behind the Scenes Tours of the Museum’s Collection Storage Facility (Donation Requested)
Additional free activities include Antique Car Rides (noon to 1:30), CHIPS Kid’s Education (12:15 – 1:15) and anniversary remarks with cupcakes served at 1 p.m. Winners will be selected in the raffle drawing (2 p.m.) and the 50/50 fundraiser (3 p.m.). The free Cruise-In starts at 3 and goes until 7 with the music of Yesterday’s Vibe provided entertainment. Another 50/50 will be ehdl during the Cruise-In with the winner announced at 6 p.m.
The VIP Barbecue will run from 11:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and will provide a choice of ½ a chicken or southern style pulled pork, a baked potato, coleslaw and a roll. Adult meals are $12 and children (4 -12) are $7 with a refillable soda mug provided when the meal is purchased. Additional food concession vendors with a variety of menu items and ice cream will be available for purchase.  Advance registration is suggested for the VIP Barbecue and the Car Show.
