Ford has begun giving details about their latest offering in the all-new 2015 Mustang convertible.

The Mustang is the only convertible offered in the entire Ford product line and as engineers and designers were working out the final details of what the next-gen Mustang would become, they spent a lot of time and mental energy making sure that it was not only better, but significantly better.

Case in point is the new 2015 Mustang’s convertible top. When you understand that convertibles account for 20-percent of Mustang sales, it makes perfect sense that the folks at Ford would want to make sure they get it right. They did just that by cramming the new car full of additional benefits like more trunk space, a quieter ride with the top up, better top finish both inside and out and a quicker-operating top mechanism, 50-percent quicker, to be exact. Additional benefits that the passengers will notice is the use of a single latch, instead of the dual-latch system formerly incorporated and a quieter ride between top-up and down function thanks to the new electro-mechanical mechanism instead of the older hydraulic system.

Check out this video released from Ford for more details about the benefits of this next generation of Mustang.
