Developing technology on the race track and taking it to the streets isn’t a new idea.  The Plymouth Superbird became better known than its year-older counterpart, the Dodge Daytona, thanks in part to the Road Runner cartoon graphics and unique horn. The long, tall tail, used for the aero wars of the superspeedway tracks, added to the styling characteristics that got immediate attention on the streets. There was simply nothing like it, but it only lasted one year.
