Cooling system for LS swaps

If you’ve swapped a modern GM LS engine into your 1955-1957 Chevrolet, then you might need the Tri-Five Extreme Module from Be Cool to keep things from overheating. The module includes a factory-style aluminum core support, a pair of one-inch thick cross flow radiators, two 11-inch shrouded fans with an easy-to-install wiring harness, and fabricated aluminum recovery and reservoir ranks; an air conditioning condenser is an optional extra. It also comes with necessary installation hardware, a billet aluminum cap, and two gallons of the company’s Be Coolant antifreeze. It can handle engines up to 1,000 horsepower, and has a two-year warranty on the radiator, and a lifetime warranty on the fans.

Mustang transmission conversion

Get smoother, easier shifts in your 2005 to 2012 Mustang when you replace the stock transmission with this Tremec T56 Magnum unit from Hurst Driveline Conversions. Designed with the S197 Mustang in mind, the assembly provides a short throw shifter, Hurst-branded shifter handle and six-speed knob. It also features a slip yoke rear interface, which eliminates the need for a two-piece driveshaft, an SFI-approved steel bellhousing, and a Tremec-supplied swap-specific crossmember. The transmission can handle 700 lbs-ft of torque, and comes with a choice of two gear ratios.

LED worklights

Being able to see clearly while working on or under your vehicle is important to your safety. Philips Automotive Lighting North America has introduced a series of LED worklights to make the job easier. The product line features a penlight, rechargeable inspection lamp, and an inspection lamp with a 33.8-foot cable. The penlight has six bright white LEDs, while the rechargeable version has 15; the corded light has 45. All three are resistant to water, dust, chemicals and solvents, and use a fraction of the power of halogen or fluorescent bulbs.

Brake booster hose kits

Exposure to high engine temperatures can cause the vacuum line from the brake booster to become weak and brittle, which could lead to a leak at an inopportune time. Hose Candy has introduced its Bullet Proof Brake Booster Hose Kits to help solve this problem. The hose features a flexible stainless steel skeleton, which surrounds a rubber vacuum hose, all encased in the company’s Hose Skins, which can withstand temperatures up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. Available in either black or silver, the hose fits stock or aftermarket brake boosters, and includes heat shrinkable thermoplastic clamps that tighten around the hose to form a secure connection. Specify the length of hose needed when ordering.
